Developer plans the launch of Square’s new phase on the SC-401 in Florianópolis

The expansion of Square on the SC-401, by builder CFL, aims to strengthen the region’s ecosystem, bringing complementarity to the existing development and leaving a positive legacy for the Santa Catarina capital.

Over these two decades of the developer’s presence in Florianópolis, Luciano Bocorny Corrêa, CEO of CFL, assesses: “I would say the capital is living its best moment. There are important challenges to overcome, which is natural for a city growing with migration flows and with the economic growth of the state of Santa Catarina.”

According to the CEO, the Santa Catarina capital currently receives 70% of CFL’s investments and efforts. “We seek to conceive innovative real estate projects that generate a positive impact both for investor clients and for their surroundings. It is very clear in our purpose that our developments need to bring value, both from the inside out and from the outside in, leaving a positive legacy for the neighbourhoods where we are present”, highlights Luciano.

He recalls that, when the company decided to develop the construction of Square on the SC-401, there was a very strong conviction that this would be the main growth corridor and the new business hub of the state capital. “We already knew the SC-401 would be the development vector and where there would be room for the growth of the island’s corporate and business market. What surprised us a great deal was the speed at which that happened”, assesses the CEO.

The next challenge for CFL, according to Luciano, is to bring to market the Square expansion project, located opposite the development, on the other side of the highway, on a 12,000 sqm plot, at the SC-401 corner, right at the entrance to the Cacupé neighbourhood.

“Our goal with this new development is to serve a mix of real estate products complementary to what we have today at Square, expanding the already established store mix for the furniture hub, a modern hotel aimed at the technology public, residential buildings and also a corporate tower for medium and large companies”, says Luciano.

The businessman believes that recent announcements from both the state government and the Florianópolis City Hall about widening the road with a third lane, as well as the service roads and cycle paths on the stretch between the João Paulo and Cacupé neighbourhoods, will bring even more value to the region, expanding mobility and making the road a destination for business in the city.
